In a new photo series, I present a second, extensive portrait of the city of Berlin. My work “Seen from Space, the Earth Is Blue” from the 1990s already addressed the situation of the newly reunified city. In this new series, I now combine images from the 1990s with photographs taken today. Cityscapes and portraits come together in a personal, documentary exploration of old and newly emerging urban spaces and of Berlin’s development as a city.

In einer neuen Fotoserie zeigte ich ein zweites umfangreiches Porträt der Stadt Berlin. Bereits meine Arbeit „Vom Weltraum aus gesehen ist die Erde blau“ aus den 90er Jahren thematisierte ich die Situation der soeben wiedervereinigten Stadt. In einer neuen Serie verbinde ich nun Bilder aus den 90er Jahren mit Aufnahmen von heute. Stadtaufnahmen und Porträts ergänzen sich zu einer persönlichen dokumentarischen Auseinandersetzung mit alten und neu entstandenen urbanen Räumen und der Entwicklung Berlins als Stadt.
